I'm so behind and posting layouts on my blog! I will try hard to catch up this week!
Last week, there was a fun swap on the Core'dinations blog - with Xyron! And honestly, I've found my new favourite general adhesive: The Mega Runner!
It made creating a layout like this soooo much faster!
Looking for inspiration, I found this image and it was my jumping off point for this layout.
So I trimmed even strips of Core'dinations cardstock (I used a dot embossed pattern for one of the stripes for texture). I gave them a light sand before adhering them down on my background cardstock.
I loved the look of the white shape cut out of the stripes, but honestly, I went for the easier way which was to stitch a shape!
I cut a large number 2 out using my Cameo, temporarily adhered it to my background and poked holes all around it.
The next step if very important: put something interesting on TV or watch some crafting videos online while you stitch the shape!
Love it! And I forgot how therapeutic handstitching can be!
I'll be back soon with more - it's a busy crafting week this one!
